As you know, I love sharing awesome finds and deals on Pretty Pink Momma. I haven’t been sharing as many deals and discounts as I would like and that will be changing! I have had plans in the works for quite a while to share more coupons, deals and discounts for products and brands that I love. I am not a “deal” blogger so I am not the kind of person that shares 50 cent off coupons for cereal or posts deals every ten minutes. I simply want to share discounts for things that I think you can benefit from or products and services that I have had a great experience with.
Being a Northwest mom blogger I also want to share more of my experiences and recommendations for businesses and deals in Oregon and Washington. Over the coming weeks I have some great posts lined up for local area events I attended in both Portland and Seattle. If you are wondering why I choose to share both its because all though I am a Seattle native I moved to Oregon 6 months ago and I am always exploring new areas and local activities to do here in addition to those I do with my family and friends when I visit my hometown in Seattle. I will be living here in Oregon for the next couple of years and every weekend my husband I try to find a new place to experience. We want to explore Oregon as much as possible before we move back home to Seattle.
To kick off my new deal seeking ways I will be sharing cool deals from Juice in the City. It has been described as a Groupon for moms and it’s very different from most deal sites out there. Let me explain why. Juice in the City offers targeted daily deals and discounts for several local area markets nationwide and is expanding quickly. What makes Juice in the City so darn special is that they cater to the needs of moms in two ways. Here’s the scoop!
The First Way- Offering Great Deals
- Sharing local deals that are recommended for moms, by moms
- Moms can support their favorite local businesses and also learn about new ones!
- Moms can also suggest their favorite local businesses to Juice in the City that they would like to receive deals from
The Second Way- Helping Moms Earn Extra Cash
- Moms can earn money by sharing these deals online as an affiliate by placing the widget on their blog or site
- Each deal also has an affiliate code so they can share those links on FB and Twitter or any means of social media
- You can also apply to become a JITC Local Business Consultant for your area
Juice in the City – How does it work?
Moms, JITC’s Local Business Consultants, work with local businesses to get great deals for you at their favorite places. For example, places to shop, eat or be entertained. You can take advantage of the deal before it expires by purchasing a voucher. Simply print the voucher and away you go!
Super cool deal facts:
- No deal quotas – if you want the deal you can get it, you don’t have to wait for a group of people to opt in.
- Even if you forget to use your voucher before it expires you will still get the equivalent value of services purchased at that vendor for what the voucher was worth. You are just not guaranteed to get that specific deal. (This I find extremely awesome because I am forever finding expired coupons in my purse!)
- If for some reason that the business that offers the deal disappears into thin air or you have an extremely horrible experience while using your voucher they will offer a refund if they can.
JITC deals will be for all types of things like a children’s event, a coffee shop, a cool boutique, sporting events, spa and salon offers just to name a few. The common denominator is that all deals will be approved by a JITC LBC mom.
Some of these deals are so awesome that they go super fast! So if you really want a deal you need to jump on it before it sells out.
Some current JITC markets include: Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, San Antonio, Phoenix and…..
Juice in the City is launching in Seattle today!!
Being the hometown Seattle area loving mom that I am I will occasionally be sharing local Seattle area JITC deals. Like I said earlier I’m not a deal blogger so this won’t be my daily focus so if you want to see what’s being offered daily, whether your interest lies in Seattle or any other market, you can sign up and receive daily deals from Juice in the City via email. Alternatively or in addition to subscribing you can follow JITC on Facebook and Twitter too. Each market has their own Twitter account and Facebook page so you can follow the deals that apply directly to you!
If you want to read more about JITC and how it was founded and more about what it means for mom everywhere I suggest reading this informative article highlighting one of the co-founders, Sarah Eisner. The article also shares a bit about the JITC philosophy too so be sure to check it out!
*I was given the opportunity to share my thoughts and opinions on Juice in the City. I was compensated a thank you for my participation. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This post also includes my JITC affiliate link.*
