Captain Underpants and the Revolting Revenge of the Radioactive Robo-Boxers Review and Giveaway – 3 Winners!

Captain UnderpantsCaptain Underpants and the Revolting Revenge of the Radioactive Robo-Boxers is the tenth novel in the Captain Underpants series of books written by author Dav Pilkey.  The new book released on January 15, 2003 and my oldest son Oscar couldn’t wait to read it!

About the Book

A world without UNDERPANTS?!!!

When we last saw our heroes, George and Harold, they had been turned into evil zombie nerds doomed to roam a devastated, postapocalyptic planet for all eternity. But why, you might ask, didn’t the amazing Captain Underpants save the boys from this frightening fate? Because Tippy Tinkletrousers and his time-traveling hijinks prevented George and Harold from creating Captain Underpants in the first place! Now, having changed the course of human history forever, they’ll have to figure out a way to CHANGE IT BACK.

Could this be the end for Captain Underpants?!!

For fans ages 7 and up.

About the Author

Dav Pilkey created his first stories as comic books while he was in elementary school. Since then, in addition to the Captain Underpants series, his Scholastic books include numerous popular, award-winning books for children, such as Dog Breath, winner of the California Young Reader Medal; The Paperboy, a Caldecott Honor Book; The Adventures of Super Diaper Baby, which debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list; and the Dumb Bunnies series. He is also the author of the New York Times bestselling The Adventures of Ook & Gluk: Kung-Fu Cavemen from the Future.

Oscar, who is 9, has been reading the Captain Underpants books since he was 7.  He really gravitated towards them because he loves the humorous stories and the great illustrations.  I was happy because he found books that really sparked his interest!  Not only had he enjoyed the series but it’s great to see my middle son Benji, who is now 7, start to read them too this year.  He is now on the 6th novel but is rapidly catching up and can’t wait until he gets all the way to the 10th.

Oscar really loved Captain Underpants and the Revolting Revenge of the Radioactive Robo-Boxers!  He read the entire book in two days!  He really likes the cartoon pictorials and the really awesome illustrations.  He also likes that this book includes Flip-O-Rama’s which when flipped quickly back and forth it makes the illustrations turn into one animated picture!  A very cool addition in this mom’s opinion too.
